VACANCY: INTERNAL AUDITOR
Job Purpose: The role should provide objective assurance and insight on the effectiveness and efficiency of governance, risk management, compliance and internal control processes. The position reports to the Assurance Manager.
Suitably qualified candidates who meet the following requirements are invited to apply:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree with specialisation in Auditing, Risk Management, Accounting or Finance
- 3 years’ experience in an Audit or Risk Management
Key functions and Responsibilities:
- Execute audit assignments in accordance with the approved internal audit plan.
- Apply internal audit policies and procedures during audits and identify areas requiring updates or improvement.
- Perform risk assessments, identify emerging risks, gather evidence, and propose corrective actions.
- Assist in developing annual plans, audit programmes, audit testing procedures, and resource requirements for individual audits.
- Implement the entire audit process from planning, assessment, reporting to follow ups.
- Document the audit process and prepare audit findings report.
- Update the risk register, track risk mitigation actions, validate risk information with departments, and monitor overdue actions.
- Compile reports for the Audit and Risk Committee.
